Every day millions of people across America and even a few in Evanston Wyoming turn on that little goofy box called a radio.

They hear music of course and then there are the few LIVE people who talk between the music, introducing the music, reporting the local news and just becoming that person they listen to and get some sort of chuckle or at least some measure of the issues of the day.

These people are called radio personalities. The old word was Disc Jockey, thing is today few records of the vinyl era, are gone, its mostly tape a compact disc. Likewise the announcer part is mostly automated from some satellite service in NYC or Nashville.

LIVE radio is returning, and just like those days of old HazzardAyre Radio along with the 4 other radio show segments we do here is looking to be LIVE with a real person or persons behind the mic.

Men like the velvety melodic, alluring and soothing sound of a woman’s voice. Likewise other women will sit up and take notice of another woman pitching product or segwaying between music selections. News reporting is just about the same thing. This is why on just about any locally viewed TV newscast you have both women and men news teams as anchors or the main news reporters, both at the desk as well as reporting from the field.

Unless very well experienced , many beginning on air people start at ridiculously low wages barely above minimum wage if that. Many start out as none paid interns, gain some experience, then get paid. HazzardAyre is just about that way although we put people right in the pool, so to speak, you either perform, or your not there.

It’s a pretty good estimation that if someone wants to be on air, yet has to ask what is this? They most likely are not the kind of person with the ability nor even the basic want to be an on air person.

Evanston is not alone here. When we began forming our on air team in Twin Falls, out of 10 people that would apply, we might get 2 that had any knowledge of what it was about. Out of those 2 we might get 1 that could and would go on air. Today we have 10 people in Twin Falls of both genders , reporting news and delivering HazzardAyre Radio content, both over the air as well as over the online stream we do through Livestream.

I always tell those interested in what we do here and the environment we do it in, if they really are interested, just log onto www.livestream.com/hazzardayre and listen. It’s there for all to hear. If they then really want to be on the air and be employed by us, then get off your butt, drive out to our studios, in Evanston we currently occupy in my home at the Wentworth apartments #C-202 and try it out. If they have reservations of going to a private residence, get their guy pal, if he can shut up and not be too intimidating sit in the front room, and let her try out or at least observe.

As HazzardAyre Radio nears our over the air debut in September over our own radio station , we are scouting for those few people that can deliver over the air. Reason some measure of looks is important, hey we stream and are seen online as well as local TV, fugdugly will not git-r-done here at HazzardAyre.

Matching a co anchor with one of our burly biker/trucker male announcers(personalities) is tough. It takes a very select person to sit in a 10X 10 studio for 6 hours to be on air. The need is obvious, if I need to pee, if I need food, if I have to answer a tow call, the show needs to stay on air, a co anchor is there when I can’t be. More over making a good on air team when I am there.

So in closing, if one has to ask what this is all about, you probably are not the person we are looking for.
